MISSION STATEMENT Featuring over 40 tents with crafts of all kinds, the Weekend on the Niagara Arts and Crafts show is the perfect summer kick-off event. Every year on the first full weekend in June, Niawanda Park in the City of Tonawanda, NY is transformed into a multi-cultural, creative playground for all ages. The festival runs from 10AM to 5PM each day. The 2010 festival will be held on June 5 and 6. While you browse the artisan tents, you can enjoy the sounds of the Tonawanda Folk Festival from the Miller Bandshell, featuring live music, folk dancing, and children's entertainment. The Tonawanda Folk Festival showcases regional talent in a high profile and picturesque site with high summertime pedestrian traffic. Boasting "the best music you've never heard", the festival highlights acts that are on their way to becoming household names in local entertainment. Niawanda Park is located at 300 Niagara Street in the City of Tonawanda, on the banks of the Niagara River (upstream from Niagara Falls) and within walking distance from the historic Erie Canal gateway.
